She also has depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Erika and guests will tackle several issues surrounding mental health and wellness through honest and vulnerable conversations. We’ll put it all out there on the table, dispelling myths on mental health and vulnerability, both personally and professionally. Together, we will challenge the status quo and begin to embrace who we are and what we need at home and at work. We aim to destimatize mental health by continuing the conversation, raising awareness, providing hope with an ultimate goal of saving lives!

Erika Diaz delves into her experience as an NPE (Not Parent Expected) from a recent direct-to-consumer DNA test. She was initially searching for information on her medical outlook when she discovered the unexpected surprise, turning her world upside-down.
Erika shares how she navigated this revelation, which led her to participate in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for a second time. Through Marsha Linehan’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the foundation of most PHPs, she was able to work through the difficult emotions she was experiencing.
Hear about Erika’s resilience and reclaiming of her mental wellness following the program, along with tools to add to your toolkit when experiencing a crisis. She explains how daily practice will help you recall those tools in distressing moments.
